Club Activity

Club Activities aim at bringing an overall development in children through academics. These activities draws the current level of knowledge and understanding around a topic area of the students and empowers them with leadership skills. A collaborative environment is set for the students to share and display their intellectual skills with the peer group. Club activities are conducted on all the working Saturdays for classes 6th to 10th.

The various clubs are: Literary – English,Tamil and Hindi; Art and Craft; Science, Quiz,Heritage,Integrity,Proud India, Philately and SFA.

English Club

English Club focuses on improving the language skills of the students and enhances them to be proficient in language. It strengthens students’ ability to debate;improves their diction and helps them narrate stories vividly. The training comprises of plenty of tips and ideas to nourish their language skills and a platform for the students to exhibit their talent with the acquired skills.

Hindi Club

Hindi Club allows the students to enjoy the essence of the Language by creating a new dimension on learning through performance. The students learn the nuances of grammar first hand to apply in their performance like speeches, role-play singing, poster designing and celebration of important days like Hindi diwas,Diwali and Gandhi Jayanti.

Science Club

Science Club targets on building the scientific temper in students to inquire things around them by strengthening their drive through hands-on working activities. It channelises their physical energy in a more constructive manner by making them share, care and take responsibilities which results in making them more enthusiastic on their sense of accomplishment while working on models and critical thinking.

Heritage Club

Heritage Club creates awareness about the inheritance and heritage preservation among the students learning through photography and filming the custom and lifestyle of people. Students actively participate in events of Heritage India.FilmIt organized by INTACH.

Integrity Club

ntegrity Club aims at nurturing the 12 basic values in human as love, patriotism, compassion, tolerance, secularism,unity,simplicity and honesty. Students are given the awareness of these acquired values through stories, poems and paintings and actively participate in Initiative for Moral and Cultural Training Foundation events. Our students observe Vigilance Awareness Week with the theme “Integrity- A way of life”.The National Integration day is celebrated every year on 19th November.

Philately Club

Philately Club supports and guides the passion for stamp collection in students. Students are taught the preparation and exhibition of stamp collection based on a theme. These activities are done with the support of Postal Department. Postal Department conducts inter-school competitions to encourage the students’ knowledge and skill in organising the stamps into various categories.

Proud India Club

Proud India Club guides children to celebrate the pride of our nation. Children are given awareness of the transformation from the ancient past to the modern day. They are trained by Mr. E. C. Sridhar, alumni of our school, on how to understand the cultural practices of our day-to-day lives with deeper concepts through activities like presentation and demonstrations.

Skills for Adolescence Club

Skills for Adolescence Club sessions are conducted for classes seven and eight students during the club activity sessions. The motto of this club is to promote good citizenship skills and value one’s self-esteem. This programme develops social- emotional balance amongst students. The program provides a sequence of curriculum and training for building a safe and supportive learning environment in exhibiting their skills by participating in the Lions Quest Events organised by Rotary club.

Health & Wellness Club

Tamil Club

Tamil Club intensifies one of the ancient and classical languages ‘Tamil’ by celebrating the richness of the language by rendition of famous poets’ repertoires. This club creates interest amongst students in Tamil Literature apprehending moral values from Sangam Literature. Celebrations of Tamil festivals, praisefor bravery of freedom fighters; ancient games, food practices and natural remedies for cure are a part of this club.

Craft Club

Craft Club kindles interest and creativity of young hearts and hands. These session helps children to try their unique ideas from the available materials and handy resources. Students learn origami, clay modelling, mehandi patterns, paper craft, doll making and decorative items. Students participate in inter-school competitions.

Art Club

Art Club enhances art skills and helps in developing students to think and create brilliant, unique ideas using their creativity. Pencil shading, oil pastel crayon work, alphabet drawing, mehendi designing, cartoon drawing and perspective art are the various techniques taught in the session
