ADULT LEADER TRAINING COURSE
Maharishi District Scouts and Guides conducted Adult leader Training Course for teachers from 23rd to 29th April 2024 @ Rudrappaswamy school Ambattur Chennai with 116 participants & 16 staff members. Special course for First Aid Training was also a part of it.7 teachers from middle school completed the course.
The Bharat Scouts & Guides Maharishi District
Scouts & Guides is a voluntary, non-political movement started in the year 1907 by the founder Lord Baden Powell.In Tamil Nadu, Maharishi district of scouts & guides was started on 5th February 2011 at Maharishi Vidya Mandir Sr.Sec.School, Chetpet Chennai with four schools namely Maharishi Vidya Mandir Sr.Sec.SchoolChetpet Chennai, Maharishi Vidya Mandir Sr.Sec.School Hosur, Maharishi International Residential School Sunguvarchaitram Kanchipuram District. &G.T.Aloha Vidya mandir Neelangarai. We have studentsenrolled in Bunnys (KG) , Cubs & Bulbuls (Primary), Scouts & Guides (Middle School & Secondary) with 100 units. Each unit consist of Bunnyswith an average of 20 students, Cubs& Bulbuls with an average of 24 students& Scouts & Guides – with an average of 32 students guided by 22 Unit leaders. Smt.P.Ramathiayammal LT(G) State Organising Commissioner (Guides) inaugurated the district.
The movement is initiated to give immense knowledge to students in wide avenues such as – Training in pioneering, basic first aid skills, Signalling, Patrol system which equips the students to become a well-educated citizen of our country.
The course includes activities such as:
- Rhymes
- Coloring
- Handicrafts
- Jungle dance
- Story telling – Tara story
The students are trained to participate in several district, state and national level camps where they are awarded with many accolades and titles such as –

We had a Bunny’s event @MVM Balabhawan on28th November 2019 with 1200 bunnys with 42 Bunny Aunty.
Over Night camp was conducted for Cubs & Bulbuls @ MVM Hosur.

Our district stands FIRSTin producing highest Rajyapurskar awardee in the year 2018 among 76 District of Tamil Nadu Dr.Elangovan Director of School Education & State Chief Commissioner of Tamil Nadu Bharat Scouts & Guides awarded our district.
Maharishdistrict Highest Census for the year 2018-19 Honorable Education Minister Shri K.A.Sengottaiyan awarded our district by Certificate& Shield @ A.M.Jain College on 28th August 2019.
Our District is the Highest Sponsor in the 10th State level Camporee Honorable Education Minister Shri K.A.Sengottaiyan honoured with a Momento on Republic day Celebration.
