The Junior Red Cross recently held a successful Fire Safety Awareness Programme with a focus on first aid. The event, held on July 6, 2024, at MVM Chetpet, aimed to educate participants on fire safety practices and essential first aid measures for fire-related injuries. The programme included informative sessions on fire prevention, hands-on first aid training for burns and smoke inhalation, and practical exercises like role-playing and simulated fire drills conducted by fire safety officers. Students attentively observed the interactive training and felt more confident in handling fire emergencies. They also had the opportunity to see a fire engine up close.
