At MAHARISHI, we lay a strong emphasis on sports and physical development. Our sports curriculum is planned and designed for students to develop and enhance skills like strength, speed, endurance, agility, flexibility, control, balance etc. Sport today has also evolved as a form of entertainment and also offers promising careers.
We believe in mass participation, exposing our students to a number of sports events at inter-school, state, national and international level. Every student is encouraged to join at least one school sports team.
We have weekly achievable goals for the different skills required for a particular sport and train students accordingly.
For students to know the benefits of the sports they play, they are informed about the body parts and muscle development in playing each sport along with game knowledge.
FootBall
Every child’s fantasy begins with being the next Lionel Messi. Football is the most popular sport and every child must have that experience. We have dedicated football fields along with guided tutoring.
BasketBall
Basketball adds on to the development of a child’s mind, tolerance, coordination and most importantly imparts a sense of rigor. Like any other sport, even basketball counts for a lot of practice and dedication.
VolleyBall
Volleyball is a sport that requires teamwork and coordination. Children learn to work in a team, take responsibility and trust their teammates.
Athletics
Events like 100m, javelin, Long Jump, etc., are all a part of Athletics which boost the morale of our students to try harder with better preparations everytime they perform. These activities stretch their abilities and enhance their stamina, muscle tone and have a number of physical benefits.
Table Tennis
Table tennis is a sport one can enjoy whatever their age or physical attributes. Whether you’re young or old, able-bodied or disabled, everyone can enjoy playing table tennis at some level.
We at Maharishi adorned with the state-of-art equipment for Table Tennis. Along with it, well trained coach and qualified instructors are available to guide the students step wise through different levels.
If you play at a basic, beginners level, it’s a simple sport to play, but if you want to play at the highest level you’ll discover that it’s one of the hardest and most physically demanding of all sports.
We place our achievement in CBSE National and international level in the game of table tennis.
Skating
Table tennis is a sport one can enjoy whatever their age or physical attributes. Whether you’re young or old, able-bodied or disabled, everyone can enjoy playing table tennis at some level.
So, we offer skating lessons as well to our children, in addition to all other activities. Our skating lessons are provided to children by trained professionals and practice sessions are held at the school’s skating rink.
Gymnastics
Our mission is to bring out the gymnast in our members and transfer our passion for gymnastics to each of them. Some will want to compete when possible and some just wish to learn gymnastics for recreational purpose and we strive to accommodate each individual goal with their practice.

We designed the chess lessons for intermediate and advanced level. However, we also take care of beginners. Therefore, our lessons come with thorough, clear explanations that every level of player can understand.
