Keeping up with the tradition, Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Chetpet, hosted a series of vibrant events that engaged students of all ages to celebrate Janmashtami. The festivities included enthusiastic participation from the precious preschoolers at The Tree, marking a day of cultural immersion and joyful learning. The event line-up was diverse and enriching. A traditional worship ceremony marked the beginning of the programmes which was followed by Bhagavad Geetha Chanting. The dance performances by the Pre- KG students, the dance drama ‘Shree Krishna Leela’ by the students of I and II standard and ‘Raslila’: A traditional dance performance by Std V of MVM added grace to the occasion. Bhajans by the students of std IV and musical renditions by the students of standard I to III reflected the true essence and joy of the Janmashtami celebration. Kathakalakshepam – Kalinga Narthanam: A captivating performance by Nikitha G. from Std IX, was the highlight of the day. The celebration provided an opportunity for students to explore and embrace the traditions and cultural practices associated with Janmashtami. Each child participated actively, gaining insights into values such as courage, brotherhood, and compassion through various performances and activities.
