As part of the Gita Jayanti celebrations, Sanskrit dept of Maharishi Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Chetpet, organized the Samskrita Gramah program on 7th December 2024. The event was graced by the presence of Shri P.G. Subramanyam, Principal of Bhavan’s Rajaji Vidyashram, who inaugurated the program as the Chief Guest. Shri G.S.Vasan, a distinguished scholar, served as the judge for the event.
The program showcased the students’ proficiency in spoken Sanskrit through a variety of interactive exhibits and performances, replicating the atmosphere of a traditional Sanskrit-speaking village. The participants enthusiastically engaged in conversations and
presentations highlighting the beauty and practicality of the ancient language. Both the Chief Guest and the Judge commended the students for their remarkable efforts and fluency. Shri P.G. Subramanyam lauded the initiative, emphasizing the importance of promoting Sanskrit as a living language. Shri G.S. Vasan appreciated the innovative approach and the students’ dedication to preserving and propagating Indian culture and heritage through Sanskrit. The program was a resounding success, leaving both participants and attendees inspired to further their engagement with Sanskrit and its cultural significance.
