42nd ANNUAL SPORTS MEET OF MAHARISHI VIDYA MANDIR SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL, CHENNAI .
Maharishi Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Chetpet, Chennai -31 hosted its 42nd Annual Sports Meet on Wednesday 28.08.2024 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Periamet, Chennai from 8 am to 1.30 pm.
Mr. C Jayasankar Menon, Assistant General Manager of Indian Bank, who is the Former Indian Basket Ball Team Captain and Asian all-star Basket Ball Player was the chief guest of the day. Mr. Jayasankar encouraged the students to prove their mettle in sports as their dedication to it might take them to greater heights and earn them respect. The flagship event of the day was the March Past, which was followed by the Lighting of the Torch. After the Sports meet was declared open by the chief guest, a rich array of Drills and Demonstrations were showcased by the students from classes 1 to 12.
The athletes participated in the track and field events and were lauded by all. The Winners were awarded with Certificates, Medals, and Trophies. Overall Championship Shield was won by Arjuna House. The event was a testament to the hard work and dedication of the students.
